I've made a custom butterfly-icon to replace the standard icon in IE. The butterfly is flying when it's busy, and stops in the position shown on the thumbnail when IE is Idle.
I've also made a soft toolbar background as you can see in the thumbnail. You can use both of theese, or both. They don't take up much resources. Just download the .zip and enjoy! Give me feedback, and maybe I'll make some other small animations
I suggest using it together with the Everaldo v2 skin (as in the thumbnail), or with the skin called Milk. My two favourites. You will need StyleXP to use those skins.
How to apply:
This is easy. To apply them, download TweakUI (Powertoys from Microsoft, it's very neat to customize parts of winXP), and go down to Internet Explorer in the list. To add the background:
Under Toolbar Background you should add the background*.bmp in both slots. To add the animated icon:
To add the butterfly, head down to "Small Animation" and "Large Animation". Choose "Custom" and set busy image to *butter_busy.bmp
Then change Idle Image to *butter_idle.bmp and you should be all set.
Leave frame heigth at standard values (26 & 38), and Restart frame at 0 (Change it to 1 if the animation flickers).
That looks tight. Ill have to go download that stuff later. Unfortunately i have to go to a Ice Hockey game at the moment. What am i saying unfortunately? I can't wait! Good work man.
